Here’s a fun gadget that will be useful in times where the minutes of the day advance as though moving through a wall of molasses.

Ferrofluid is a colloidal liquid formed from minuscule particles no bigger than 10 nanometers in diameter.  “Peaks and valleys” are formed when these particles are subjected to a magnetic field.  Using the supplied magnets, it is possible to manipulate the ferrofluid into weird and interesting formations.  Check out the video to see it in action.  The ferrofluid Magnetic Display is proof that science can be fun after all!
