Get some old school Nintendo into your cubicle.
If the phrase “Thank you Mario, but our princess is in another castle” means anything to you, then you’re probably already familiar with Tetris. For everyone else, Tetris is a really clever video game by Russian programmer Alexey Pajitnov that came out with the release of the world-changing (at least if you were about 8 years old at the time) original Nintendo Entertainment System back in 1985. The game consists of 7 different two-dimensional shapes which slowly fall from the top of the screen until they land at the bottom. Your job is to fit these pieces together into horizontal rows in a fashion that leaves no gaps. Each row you create disappears, giving you a few more seconds of precious life before the piled up shapes reach the top and you experience an excruciating suffocation.
If you thought that two-dimensional Tetris was fun, then get ready to have your mind blown. You can now get all the thrills and kicks of Tetris … in 3D! This interesting desk lamp is based on the game and lets you assemble its 7 Tetris-shaped components as if you were actually playing Tetris! LED bulbs inside the colored pieces light up to emit a warm glow as they are added and turn off when they are removed. This changeable lamp works no matter how you choose to set it up so your options are virtually limitless. If you’re wanting for a new decoration in your cubicle and are a fan of the NES, this cool lamp will give the boredom of every day work life a real kick in the Koopas!
An average setup of the Tetris desk lamp measures 11”x8”x1.5” and is powered by 120V AC adapter.
* A note of caution: There are a few imitations out there, and according to what we’ve seen they don’t compare to the real thing. In other words, if you by this item, make sure you get the officially licensed high-quality version by Tetris, and not a cheap knock-off.
